If you are going to use 67mm Filter Adapter for your Canon SX50 Camera then you need a 67mm Lens Cap too. The original Lens cap is too small and won't fit with 67mm Filter adapter. There are several types of 67mm Lens Caps but make sure one you buy is a "snap on" type Lens adapter. It has to be one of these to fit your Canon SX50 camera.
A Canon 67mm Snap on Lens Cap will cost you around $15 with free shipping at Amazon. But can find Chinese made unbranded 67mm Lens caps for cheaper there too. If you like to keep everything original go for the Canon Lens Cap if not then it's fine for buy one of those unbranded lens cap. I don't see much difference But you can read in Amazon customer reviews they say Canon lens cap is better quality.
When you are going to buy a 67mm Lens Cap there is another item you should buy alone with it. That's a 67mm Lens Hood. Remember Canon SX50 doesn't come with a Lens Hood so you will need to buy one separate. I'm planning to talk about Lens hoods later but for this post I wan to recommend an very good one which you can mount on your 67mm Filter Adapter. It's the Canon LH-DC60 Lens Hood ( Here ). This one work perfectly with 67mm Adapter or any 67mm Filter you might want to mount. This Canon Flower Lens Hood has been used or older Canon bridge cameras like Canon SX40, SX30, SX20 etc. You can read plenty of Good reviews from Canon superzoom owners about this Lens Hood.
